At least 550 trees, worth millions of dollars, will be removed due to the level crossing removal project.
We know the level crossings have to go, but do so many canopy trees have to go too?
We are being reasonable. We can't save all the trees but there are many that are irreplaceable.
We need to act fast! Lorne Parade Reserve will be fenced off from 25th October. There are reports that all the trees will be removed.
There are 100 year old oak trees in Windsor Cres abutting the reserve that are also at risk.
